Shyamala: Parrot Green Kalakshetra
By Bishnupur's Master Weavers
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
Some sarees are built on motifs. This one is built on rhythm. Across a canvas of bright parrot green katan silk, geometric diamond forms and elongated drops in white and yellow resham move down the length of the cloth in a pattern that rewards looking closely. A lighter spring green panel sits beside it, quieter and softer, carrying its own small multicolour butti. At the border bold geometric crowns and zigzag forms in white and yellow resham finish the cloth with the confidence of a hand that knows exactly where to stop.
A saree that carries a field in it, green on green, line by line.
Woven in Bishnupur, Bankura. No middlemen, no blends, no shortcuts. Only the cloth and the hands that made it.
One garment. Two authors.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
