Shrestha: Two-Tone Emerald and Teal Revival Baluchari
By Bishnupur's Master Weavers
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
A masterpiece. The cloth couldn't decide between emerald and teal and so it became both, shifting with every fold of the light. On this two-tone katan silk, small ivory and ruby resham butti sit with quiet precision across the body, a border of figurative forms in ivory and wine resham drawing the first boundary. Then the pallu unfolds and the full ambition of the weaver arrives all at once. Paisley medallions in magenta and ivory resham, large and unhurried. A procession of figures in ivory and wine moving across the width. A geometric band in magenta and cream. A scrollwork border at the edge. Four bands, four registers, one cloth.
This is Bishnupur's Revival Baluchari at its most complete.
Sourced directly from the looms of Bishnupur, Bankura. No middlemen, no blends, no shortcuts. Only the cloth and the hands that made it.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
